Ask me and I'll tell you the truth. It may not be what you want to hear but my professional integrity out weighs my bottom dollar EVERY TIME. I was having a conversation the other day with one of our staff members, a veteran teacher of over 40 years, how the industry has lost its way. Competitions, money, drama, costumes, custom bags, trophies etc. are getting in the way of the truth. The results are dance factories turning out "dancers" who know more about drama than technique and performance. I just can't do it. My families trust me to do the right thing, putting their dancers in the right classes and keeping them updated on progress. When their child is ready for the next level, whether its mid-season or not, I change their class. Parents are always amazed to hear how well I know their dancer. It's like I tell my students, "I am always watching you. I see the good, the bad and the amazing in you. But I am always watching." Your child is more than a dollar to me so believe me when I tell you what I think is best.
