I always knew what kind of studio I wanted to open someday. A place where quality dance training was the main focus and was available to those who wanted it. A place where families could find honesty, encouragement and safety for their dancers. And now that I have a studio, I have to say goodbye.
I will miss that little yellow studio that has been a ray of sunshine for me and our dance families for four years. The place, 4 years ago, where I first wrote, "P + M Live Your Dreams" that will forever be on that wall. I will miss all the work and time put into making it a second home for everyone. And of course, I can never forget the memories made inside. But with every goodbye there is a chance to say hello to a new beginning. It honestly feels like we are opening again for the first time! Waking up in the middle of the night worried over details and hoping I didn't forget to order something. The nerves, the excitement and the anticipation are a reminder that I still LOVE teaching dance and making an impact on young dancers. That it it still important.
We are about to have our 5th Anniversary Grand Opening in the new facility and it's exciting! Of course there are a million more things to get done before then (I have 4 days people, 4 days)! But with me worrying about the details and Pablo worrying about all the big installations everything will be done and it is going to be fabulous;) Honestly, we have no idea what the future will bring, but we will continue to hold onto the values and standards that we started out with four years ago and that is something we will never change no matter where we go.
